23-year-old Sarasa Ifu, the second daughter of singers Yosui Inoue and Seri Ishikawa, will make her singing debut on December 5. Her first single is titled "Curriculum," written by herself and composed by Swedish band The Merrymakers. Ifu is also working on her debut album, to be released next year.

In March of 2006, Ifu made her songwriting debut when she wrote the lyrics for her father's single, "Nagai Neko." She later wrote "Maharaja no Yoru" for singer salyu.

Earlier this year, Sony Music held an audition for new talent. Ifu entered the competition without revealing that she was Inoue's daughter, and her entry drew the attention of the label. Her identity was eventually discovered, but after judging her work on its own merit, they offered her a contract.

"Curriculum" has already been chosen as the opening theme for the Fuji TV anime series, "Moyashimon," adapted from a manga by Masayuki Ishikawa. The show, which begins on October 11, will also feature an ending theme by POLYSICS, titled "Rocket."
