The short story "Orionza Kara no Shotaijo" ("An Invitation from Orion") is being turned into a movie. The story, which comes from the "Poppoya" short story collection by author Jiro Asada, tells the tale of a troubled couple who recover some of their love after returning to an old movie theater that they used to frequent. The set for the film reportedly cost about one hundred million yen to construct.
"Orion" will be directed by Kenki Saegusa, and the lead roles will be played by Rie Miyazawa and Ryo Kase. It is scheduled to open next fall.
