The latest sales figures in the gaming industry show that the Nintendo Wii has finally surpassed the Microsoft Xbox 360, despite launching a year later. 9 million Wiis have been bought by consumers, compared to 8.9 million Xbox units and 3.7 million PS3s.
This marks Nintendo's return as leader in the console market. The last time it was on top was 17 years ago, during the Super Nintendo era.
