According to numbers from magazine publisher Enterbrain, approximately 88,400 Playstation 3 units were sold over the weekend. The console launched on Saturday in Japan, and goes on sale this Friday in North America.
The Enterbrain figures show that approximately 54,600 of the sold units were the 60GB model, while the remaining 33,800 units were the cheaper 20GB model. Of the titles available at launch, the best-selling games were "Ridge Racer 7" (30,300 copies), "Gundam: Target in Sight" (30,000 copies), and "Resistance: Fall of Man" (15,700 copies).
