TV Asahi's popular cooking variety show "Ai no Apron" will end its run after March, it was learned on Saturday. It started out as a late-night program in 1999 and moved to its current time slot (Wednesday 7:00pm) in 2004.
The show's host, Shigeru Joshima (of TOKIO), was scheduled to leave to host a new educational program on the same network, tentatively titled "Leader's How-To Book." It will air at 12:45am on Monday nights, starting in April.
Because of Joshima's departure, it was decided to remove "Ai no Apron" from the network's lineup. In the future, it is expected to return as special episodes aired between programming seasons.
