On Friday, pop group Arashi announced their plans to perform in Taiwan, Korea and Thailand, marking their first time to perform overseas ever since they debuted in 1999. After their Japan tour, which starts on July 9, they will perform at the Taipei Arena in Taiwan on September 16-17. Then on September 22, they will represent Japan at the 3rd Asia Song Festival, being held at the World Cup Stadium in Gwangju, South Korea. On October 7, they will be the main artists at a concert in Bangkok commemorating the 120th anniversary of the declaration of amity and commerce between Japan and Thailand.
Member Jun Matsumoto said, "For years, we've been receiving letters from fans throughout Asia telling us to perform there. Now, we want to expand." Arashi's newest album ARASHIC, which was released earlier this month, goes on sale soon in Taiwan, Korea, and Thailand.
