Noriko Aota has her first starring role in a drama series with TBS's daytime program "Mama no Kamisama."
The plot is adapted from a short novel by author Yuzuki Muroi. Aota plays a single mother raising three children, each from one of her three failed marriages.
Talento Michiko Shimizu is also part of the cast. Filming has already started, though the show doesn't air until May 5. The 40-episode series will run in the weekday 1:30pm time slot.
