27-year-old comedienne Miyuki Torii attended a DVD release event on Tuesday at a Tower Records store in Shibuya. At the end of the event, she surprised everyone by declaring that she got married in March of last year, though many of the attendees thought she was just joking at the time.

Torii's agency later confirmed that she was telling the truth. Her husband is an older office worker, but no further details were given.
