On Wednesday, idol Ami Tokito was awarded the Grand Prix for the 14th annual Bowling Mass Media Awards. The awards are sponsored by the Bowling Proprietors' Association of Japan and are intended to help improve public image of the sport. Tokito was honored for her appearance on a bowling program on Tsunku TV.
Individual awards were also presented to actress/talento Yoshizumi Ishihara, magician/comedian Shinji Maggy, and actor Arthur Kuroda. A special prize was given to the P League, while "Owarai Champion Bowling" and "Q-sama!!" were both honored in the TV program category.
