23-year-old gravure idol Mari Sakurai has landed her first lead role in a motion picture. The film, titled "Juunen Ai," is directed by Ataru Ueda and based on a work by drama screenwriter and mangaka Ryo Kurashina.

Sakurai stars as a young woman who served as the manager of the boys' soccer team during high school. She slept with the team's captain (Takuma Sueno), who became labeled a "loser" after missing a game-deciding penalty kick. They are reunited years later, while she is working in the sex industry and he has ended up as a club host. Sakurai appears in her first topless scene for the movie.

The supporting cast includes Aki Kawamura, Wakana, and Yasuei Yakushiji. "Juunen Ai" opens in theaters on November 1.
