Guitarist Kohey Tsuchiya, formerly of the band THE STREET SLIDERS, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his musical career with a solo project. His first release is a single called "MUSIC FLOWER," on sale October 15.
The single is a collaboration with several popular artists. The title track features the vocals of five female singers - Tomiko Van, Maki Ohguro, Mika Nakashima, Rinko Urashima, and Nadia Shimazu - along with the horn section of jazz band Katteni-Shiyagare and the trackmaking skills of DJ HASEBE.
In addition, one of the coupling songs is a tune named "Soul Ryder" featuring Chara, said to be reminiscent of her collaboration with The 99 1/2, "Chara no Boogie Shoes."
