Vocal group The Gospellers are working on a new song with Shintaro Tokita of Sukima Switch. Titled "Septenova," it is being used as the theme song of NTV's broadcasts of the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup, taking place in Japan on December 11-21.
The two groups have appeared together on music shows and at concert events in the past, and Tokita arranged and wrote the song "Bird Men" for them in April. For "Septenova," the collaboration is officially taking on the name of "Gospellers vs Shintaro Tokita."
"Septenova" is being released on November 12 as a double A-side with "Sky High," the opening theme to the anime series "Nodame Cantabile: Paris-hen."
