Four female idols from the professional mahjong world are making their debut as a music group. On November 5 the unit, called Suzume, will release its first single, "Uguisudani Chonbo," with lyrics written by Yasushi Akimoto.
Suzume consists of Akemi Naruse, Sakiku Tezuka, Yui Ueda, and Fumie Sakuraba. Each has been successful in major mahjong competitions, but Naruse has also ventured into acting with a role in the movie series "Mukoubuchi."
