Actor Kazuhiko Nishimura was recently injured in a traffic accident. According to police reports, Nishimura was biking through Tokyo's Meguro ward on Saturday morning, on his way to work. At around 8am, a car exiting from an alley collided with Nishimura's bicycle, and the actor was quickly taken to a hospital. He reportedly suffered a broken rib and other injuries which will take about three weeks to heal.

The driver, a 61-year-old self-employed man, is expected to be charged with negligent driving.
