Hiroko Ogiwara, a former announcer for NTV, died of cancer at a Saitama hospital last Sunday. She was 54.
Ogiwara, whose real last name was Ozaki, joined NTV after graduation in 1977. During the '80s, she appeared on news programs such as "NNN Kyou no News," and in the '90s she served as a director in charge of shows like "NNN News Plus 1" and "Houdou Tokusou Project."
