The winners of the 28th Fujimoto Prize were announced on Tuesday. The award is generally given every year to people involved in film production.
This year, the top award was given to "Okuribito" producer Toshiaki Nakazawa and lead actor Masahiro Motoki. Although Motoki was not a producer for the film, he was involved with the planning process, and it is said that the film arose from the actor's own personal experiences.
Director Shimako Sato earned the newcomer prize for "K-20: Kaijin Niju Menso Den." Other awards were given to producer Masahiro Yasuda ("Aruitemo Aruitemo") and director Takeo Kimura ("Yume no Mani Mani").
