The 1st Tokyo Supermodel Contest was held on Sunday. Sponsored by Shogakukan's fashion magazines AneCan, CanCam, Oggi, and Pretty Style (PS), the competition attracted a total of 5,551 applicants.
The Grand Prix winner was 18-year-old model Mizuki Yamamoto, a high schooler from Fukuoka who has already appeared in a few ads and commercials. In addition to the grand prize, she also received the CanCam Award.
22-year-old model Airi won both the AneCan Award and the Oggi Award. Two PS Awards went to 15-year-old student Keiko Nishiyama and 17-year-old student Sophie.
