In August, after about half a year of inactivity, BENNIE K announced that vocalist YUKI is no longer singing for the group, and is instead switching to the role of producer. As a result, they launched their new "BK Project," which will have its first release in November.
BK Project appears to be a series of collaborations with guest artists. The first collaboration is with American singer Becca, who is active in Japan and provided the ending theme for the "Kuroshitsuji" anime series. Using the name "BENNIE BECCA," she and BENNIE K will put out a single titled "Dreamer" on November 4.
BENNIE K and Becca both worked on a Cyndi Lauper tribute album last year, which led to this collaboration.
