Singer KOTOKO has been chosen to provide the theme song for director Mamoru Oshii's "Assault Girls." Titled "SCREW," the song will be released on December 2 as her 14th single.
"Assault Girls" is Oshii's first feature-length live-action film since 2001. The sci-fi action story stars Meisa Kuroki, Rinko Kikuchi, and Hinako Saeki as hunters battling giant monsters known as "sand whales" in a desert landscape. The movie opens on December 19.
In addition to "SCREW," KOTOKO has announced the release of her 4th album, "Ipsilon no Hakobune," on October 14.
