Comedian Hiromi Yasuda (35), better known as "Dancho" of Yasuda Dai Circus, recently got married. His wife is talento Sachi Iwata (27), who serves as a TV reporter on a local news show in Nagoya.

Yasuda proposed in spectacular fashion at the end of August. He carried the ring from Osaka to Tokyo, traveling roughly 550 kilometers by bicycle. The trip took him about 46 hours, which was 7 hours longer than he had planned. Fortunately, Iwata was still patiently waiting for him, and when he presented the ring, she tearfully accepted his proposal.

The journey was captured on film for television, and it will be shown as a special program on a local Kansai station late at night on September 22. The other two members of Yasuda Dai Circus accompanied him by bus during his trip, and other fellow comedians showed up to cheer him on after he faced some setbacks, such as knee pains and a temporary inability to move his leg.

Yasuda and Iwata first met two years ago, but they didn't start dating until half a year later. They submitted their marriage registration shortly after the proposal, on September 9. Yasuda is expected to provide more details on Tuesday, when he holds a press conference regarding the marriage.

Yasuda was also in the news this past July, when he underwent surgery for testicular torsion.
