Publisher Shueisha has announced that Monthly Shonen Jump will cease publication with its July issue (on sale June 6). The magazine has seen a large drop in sales, and it currently trails far behind rival publication Monthly Shonen Magazine. However, Shueisha plans to launch a new magazine this autumn to fill the void.
Monthly Shonen Jump was founded in 1970 as a sister magazine to the weekly Shonen Jump.
