Like other networks, TV Asahi is making changes to its golden time lineup this spring. The late-night variety show "Otameshika!" will move from Mondays at 11:15pm to Mondays at 7:00pm, while "Manaberu News" will return to the air in the Wednesday 8:00pm time slot.

On the air since April 2008, "Otameshika!" was the first show hosted by comedy duo Taka and Toshi. Despite its time slot, the show has managed to draw ratings in the double digits. It has already had four special episodes aired during golden time, peaking at 18.8% ratings.

"Manaberu News," on the other hand, was a news show hosted by former NHK reporter Akira Ikegami (59). It started in a Tuesday 7:00pm time slot in October 2008 under the name "Manaberu!! News Show!," but it was discontinued in September 2009. Audiences have been calling for its return, and a special episode broadcast in December achieved 12.6% ratings. As a result, TV Asahi decided to bring it back.
