A recent Oricon survey asked 800 women who they thought was the most beautiful female celebrity without makeup. Popular actress Yukie Nakama was ranked first overall, even though the age 10-19 bracket was the only one where she came out on top. Second-place Nanako Matsushima seems to have broader appeal, being ranked second by women in their 10s and 40s and ranked first by women in their 20s and 30s.

The remainder of the top 10, in order, were Koyuki, Ryoko Shinohara, Masami Nagasawa, Norika Fujiwara, Hitomi Kuroki, Kou Shibasaki, Miho Kanno, and Ryoko Hirosue.
