The tour dates and partial band list for the 2012 Japan Nite U.S. tour have been announced. As always, the tour will start with the Japan Nite event at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. This year’s SXSW Japan Nite will be held on March 16th, with performances by Saito Johnny, ZZZ's (formerly Hystoic Vein), NOKIES!, Vampillia, THE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS, and Kao=S.
The rest of the Japan Nite tour will mainly feature ZZZ’s, NOKIES!, and THE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS Kao=S, but more bands are expected to be announced. The following dates have been scheduled:
- March 18 – Chicago, IL (Double Door)
- March 19 – Brooklyn, NY (Public Assembly)
- March 20 – San Francisco, CA (The Independent)
- March 21 – West Hollywood, CA (The Viper Room)
- March 22 – Las Vegas, NV (Hard Rock Cafe)

UPDATE (2/18): THE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS have withdrawn from the tour and will only perform at the Japan Nite event at SXSW. Meanwhile, Kao=S has been added to the full tour, and Vampillia will participate in the San Francisco and Las Vegas shows.
