JAYWALK vocalist in trouble again

Koichi Nakamura (59), the vocalist of rock band JAYWALK, was arrested early on Tuesday, March 9, for possession of stimulants. According to police, Nakamura has admitted to the crime.

At around 2:20am on Tuesday, police arrested Nakamura on a street in the Nishi-Azabu area of Tokyo. Nakamura was sitting in his parked car, where he was found with a small quantity of stimulants. Police are currently investigating to determine the source of the drugs.

This is not the first time that Nakamura has faced charges for a crime. In 2007, he was found to be in possession of a Swiss Army knife that violated the Guns and Knives Control Law.

This year, the members of JAYWALK are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their formation. The band has released dozens of singles and albums over the years, with one of their biggest hits being the song “Nanimo Ienakute... Natsu” in 1991. They released their latest single just last month, and they had plans to start a nationwide tour in May.
