Jun Kaname stars in “Pyu to Fuku” film

Details of the film adaptation of Kyosuke Usuta’s nonsensical gag manga “Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar” have been revealed. The movie is scheduled to open with the New Year, and will star Jun Kaname in the role of the recorder-playing Jaguar. Maccoi Saito is directing.

The rest of the main cast includes Manabu Omura as Piyohiko, Mai Takahashi as Takana, and Hiroaki Ogi (of comedy duo Ogiyahagi) as Hammer. This is Ogi’s first time in a major role in either television or film.

The premise for the film is that Jaguar and the others must steal a rare and valuable recorder in order to save their department from being abolished. Along the way, they face a villain, played by the transgendered Maki Carrousel.
