The Tatsuo Shimizu novel “Yukizuri no Machi” is being adapted again, this time as a movie under director Junji Sakamoto. The story was previously turned into a 2-hour television drama in 2000.
Toru Nakamura plays the lead as a former teacher at a prestigious girls high school. He married a student named Masako (Manami Konishi) right after her graduation, but the situation was treated as a scandal and he was forced to leave his job. The two divorced, but 12 years later they meet again.
