Igawa Yusuke (29), a defender for J. League team Kawasaki Frontale, and fashion model Ando Sayaka (30) announced on Monday that they are married. Although they officially tied the knot on September 20, they waited until the J. League season was over before publicly announcing their marriage.
Igawa entered the league in 2001 with Gamba Osaka. He later played for Hiroshima and Nagoya before settling in with Kawasaki in 2006. In 2008, he was chosen as part of Japan’s national team.
Ando got her start in show business as a fashion model in 2004. She is also active as a gravure model and has made several appearances on television variety shows.
