Kippei Shiina, Mirai Yamamoto to become parents

Actor Kippei Shiina (45) and actress Mirai Yamamoto (34) are finally becoming parents. Yamamoto is currently five months pregnant and is due to give birth next spring.

Shiina and Yamamoto got to know each other when they appeared together in the 1995 drama series “BLACK OUT.” They dated for eight years before marrying in September 2003. The two were said to be overcome with joy and surprise when they learned of the pregnancy around the start of this summer. Yamamoto’s father, fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto (65), was also very delighted by the news.

Yamamoto plans to continue acting after the child is born. She currently plays a mother in the Fuji TV drama series “Otomen.”
