“Kurosawa Eiga” wins at Okinawa film festival

The 2nd Okinawa International Movie Festival ended on Sunday, and the festival award winners were announced. This year, the special judge’s prize – the Golden Shisa – went to Taku Watanabe’s “Kurosawa Eiga,” starring Kazuko Kurosawa (31) of the comedy trio Morisanchu.

The festival also handed out two Uminchu Awards, grand prizes given in separate “Laugh” and “Peace” categories. In addition to the Golden Shisa, “Kurosawa Eiga” received the Uminchu Award in the “Laugh” category. In the “Peace” category, Aditya Chopra’s “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” (“A Match Made in Heaven”) took the prize.
