L’Arc provides NHK with Olympic theme song

Rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel has announced their first single since August of last year. Titled “BLESS,” it will be used as the theme song for NHK’s coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

“BLESS” will go on sale January 27, though fans will be able to hear the song on December 6 when it starts being played on NHK shows such as “Sunday Sports” and “MUSIC JAPAN.”

It was also revealed that the band’s 2007 single “Hurry Xmas” is being reissued on December 9 with a limited edition jacket design and insert.

In a separate announcement, bassist tetsu declared that he has changed his stage name to tetsuya, which will be capitalized as TETSUYA for his solo works.
