LesPros artists to collect donations by bicycle across the country

Management agency LesPros Entertainment has announced a new component of its “LesPros Happy-Chari Project” that it launched last month. Many of the company’s artists will be collecting donations while riding bicycles at events across the country, forming a sort of “relay” from one event to the next.

The company, its staff, and its artists already donated more than 35 million yen when the project was launched. Now, they hope to donate their own time and energy to raise even more funds for the ongoing earthquake relief efforts.

The “relay” will start in early June and run until early October. Except for the Tohoku region, the country has been divided into 7 blocks, and the artists will follow a set route within each of those blocks. They will collect donations in one area and ride their bicycles to the next area, where they will “pass the baton” to another artist to continue.

LesPros is currently accepting submissions for various events to be included in the routes, such as shopping street festivals, school fairs, and fireworks displays. The artists will appear at the selected events free of charge.

At the end of the routes in October, LesPros plans to hold an additional event.
