Mai Oshima is Miss Young Animal

Former AKB48 member Mai Oshima (21) has been chosen as the 2009 Miss Young Animal. The idol competition, which has been running since 2000, is decided by the votes of readers of Hakusensha’s comic magazine Young Animal.

Oshima was a member of AKB48′s Team A until she graduated from the group this past April.

Past Miss Young Animal winners include Rola Chen, Mika Orihara, and repeat winner Yuko Ogura.
