Man arrested for stalking, defaming seiyu Haruna Ikezawa

Police have arrested a man for stalking and defaming voice actress Haruna Ikezawa (33), known for many anime roles such as Momoka in “Keroro Gunso.” The suspect is an unemployed male from Morioka named Jun Sasaki (27).

Sasaki is suspected of writing defamatory messages on Ikezawa’s official website in February. Between February and April, he sent 16 email messages to her mobile phone. One of the messages commanded her to ride the bullet train alone to Morioka.

Sasaki, said to have been a fan of Ikezawa, was arrested on July 10 and indicted on July 30, though the case was not made public until this week.
