Manami Higa selected as NHK Asadora heroine

The heroine auditions for the 76th NHK Asadora (titled Dondo Hare) have come to a conclusion, and Manami Higa has been chosen out of a pool of 2,156 people. Higa, 20 years old, is a magazine and CM model who made her first acting appearance last year in the film Niraikanai Kara no Tegami. Dondo Hare will start airing in April 2007.
