Manoeri stars in horror film, world premiere at Anime Expo

Singer Erina Mano (19) will star in her first movie, a horror flick directed by Makoto Shinozaki. Titled “Kaidan Shin Mimibukuro: Kaiki,” it is the latest piece in the “Kaidan Shin Mimibukuro” franchise that consists of multiple dramas and theatrical films.

The dramas are also known under the English title “Tales of Terror from Tokyo and All Over Japan.” The new film comprises two such tales: “Tsukimono” tells of a working college student constantly facing terror, while “Nozomi” tells of a high school student who believes she was responsible for her sister’s death, and who suffers from dreadful hallucinations.

The film is opening in Japan this September, but it will reportedly get its world premiere this July at Anime Expo 2010 in Los Angeles. Mano previously announced that she was invited to the convention, but Anime Expo has not yet publicly confirmed her appearance.
