On Wednesday, talento Mari Yaguchi (26) appeared at a PR event for Yaguchi Mari with Straw Hat, one of the newest music groups born from the “Quiz! Hexagon II” variety show. During an interview at the event, she stated that she hopes to get married but is currently single, which revealed that her relationship with actor Takuji Kawakubo (28) has ended.
The romance between Yaguchi and Kawakubo was first reported in January 2008, though Kawakubo publicly acknowledged the relationship almost a year later. Last spring, Yaguchi was seen attending one of Kawakubo’s theatrical performances, and things appeared to be going well, but a source close to the couple says that they broke up in autumn. It seems that the two were growing apart due to their busy careers.
