Mariko Dou becoming a mother

TV Asahi announcer Mariko Dou (28) has some happy news: she is currently expecting her first child. A source close to her says that she is five months pregnant, with a due date in February 2011.

Dou joined TV Asahi in 2004 and quickly became popular through her regular appearances on “Music Station” and “Yajiuma Plus.” In April 2008, she got married to an employee of a major record label, whom she met through her job on “Music Station.”

Dou plans on continuing with her regular TV shows as long as possible before the birth, and she expects to resume work after the child is born.
