Masaki Kanda, Rie Hasegawa dating

This week’s issue of Josei Seven reports a new celebrity couple: actor Masaki Kanda (59) and talento Rie Hasegawa (37), with a 22-year age gap between them. The two first met this past May when Hasegawa made a guest appearance on TV Asahi’s travel show “Asa da! Nama desu Tabi Salad,” which is hosted by Kanda. According to the magazine, they then started dating in June.

Josei Seven says that the two were first spotted at a store together in June, but lately they have been frequently seen entering and leaving Kanda’s apartment building. The magazine also published a photo of the two together in Kanda’s neighborhood.

Before this, Hasegawa was in a relationship with actor Junichi Ishida (56), but they broke up in 2004 after about 8 years of dating. Kanda, on the other hand, is divorced. He was married to singer Seiko Matsuda (48) from 1985 to 1997, and he was reported to be in a couple of relationships after that.

The management offices for both Kanda and Hasegawa have apparently acknowledged that they are dating.
