The 2008-2009 Race Queen of the Year award was decided on Monday. This time, the prize went to gravure idol Mayu Oya (23), who made her debut in 2006. She was a finalist in the 2007 Race Queen Award, and she has been steadily gaining in popularity since then.
Past winners of the Race Queen of the Year award include Miho Yoshioka and Chisato Morishita.
