Midori Yamasaki crowned #1 race queen

The 2006-2007 Race Queen of the Year award was presented on Wednesday at the KDDI Designing Studio in Jingu-mae, Tokyo. This year, the prize went to 24-year-old ZENT race queen Midori Yamasaki. Yamasaki remarked that even though “moe” and “pocchari” looks have become more popular among race queens, she aimed to maintain her style.

Previous winners of the award include Miho Yoshioka (2000-2001) and Chisato Morishita (2001-2002).
