Mimura, Seikyo Kim divorce

After nearly four years of marriage, actress Mimura (26) and orchestra conductor Seikyo Kim (40) have separated. They submitted their divorce papers this week.

The two appeared together in the 2005 movie “Kono Mune Ippai no Ai wo” and began dating a few months later. They tied the knot in November 2006. However, due to their work commitments, they began to grow apart and ultimately decided that it would be better to separate. Because the decision was mutual, neither side is seeking alimony.

As a conductor, Kim has earned recognition internationally. Last November, he did a guest performance with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra in Belgium. He was later offered the position of Principal Conductor for the orchestra, which he took on last month. Starting next month, he plans to make two-week stays in Belgium about 4 or 5 times a year.

A source says that talk of divorce began in early spring of this year, shortly after it was decided that Kim would be going to Belgium.

Mimura has also been busy as an actress, particularly within the last year. She had roles in three television series in 2009, and she has been cast in NHK’s 2011 taiga drama “Gou ~Himetachi no Sengoku~.” Currently, she appears in commercials for four different companies.
