Miss of Miss Campus Queen Contest 2009

The Miss of Miss Campus Queen Contest 2009 took place in Tokyo on Sunday. 30 “Miss Campus” winners from universities across the country were narrowed down to ten finalists, and out of those, 21-year-old Ai Komatsu was crowned the Grand Prix winner.

Komatsu is a third-year student at J.F. Oberlin University. She was a magazine model in junior high and high school, and in 2004 she appeared in the movie “Mondai no Nai Watashitachi.” She stated that she hopes to do more modeling in the future.

The runner-up was 20-year-old Yuka Saito of Gakushuin University. The Barbie Award, a special judges’ prize sponsored by the fashion brand Barbie, was given to 21-year-old Chifumi Hino of Senshu University.
