Miu Nakamura not retiring

16-year-old gravure idol Miu Nakamura updated her blog for the first time in 3 months. Last November, she was hospitalized due to a combination of a cold and her chronic asthma, and she has been inactive since then.

Due to her lengthy inactivity, rumors had recently spread that she is retiring or leaving her agency, A TOP. Nakamura dispelled those rumors on her blog, saying that while she isn’t ready yet to resume work, she is aiming to continue her career with the company.

A TOP also made an announcement on its website regarding a recent article in FRIDAY that included false reports about Nakamura and her family. Due to the trouble caused by the article, as well as earlier scandals, the incident has resulted in the dismissal of one of the agency’s executives.
