Mizuki to star in drama adaptation of “Saito-san” manga

Alisa Mizuki has been chosen to star in “Saito-san,” an NTV drama series premiering on January 9.

The show is based on the manga of the same name by Yua Oda, which is currently running in the monthly publication Office YOU. The comic’s three tankoubon released so far have sold a total of 150,000 copies.

Mizuki plays Masako Saito, a mother of one child. Unafraid to speak her mind, she constantly confronts people who violate proper manners and other rules of society.

The show will air on Wednesdays at 10:00pm this winter.
