The presentation ceremony for the 4th annual CD Shop Awards were held in Shibuya on Monday. The awards are selected every year by an association of CD shop employees across the country, and this year, the grand prize went to idol group Momoiro Clover Z for their album “Battle and Romance.”
Momoiro Clover Z started out as Momoiro Clover in 2008, but “Battle and Romance” is their first album, released in July 2011. The album debuted at #3 on the weekly charts.
The other winners this year were:

- Maestro Award: Yamashita Tatsuro – “Ray Of Hope”
- New Brand Award: Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas – “NEXTREME” / YeYe – “Asa wo Akedashite, Yoru wo Tojiru Made”
- Live Performance Award: Mow Mow LuLu Gyaban
- Special Award: Kaoru to Tomoki, Tama ni Mook – “Maru Maru Mori Mori!”
- Hokkaido Block Award: Sano Tomomi – “Midnight Explorer”
- Tohoku Block Award: Kumagai Ikumi – “Sono Saki no Ao e”
- Kanto Block Award: Rayri – “KISS AND FLY”
- Koshinetsu Block Award: Negicco – “GET IT ON!”
- Tokai Block Award: cinema staff – “cinema staff”
- Kansai Block Award: N'Shukugawa BOYS – “PLANET MAGIC”
- Chugoku-Shikoku Block Award: Uchujin – “Oheya de Mystery Circle”
- Kyushu Block Award: mahos – “icicles”
