Motohiro Hata tapped for “Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime” theme

Singer-songwriter Motohiro Hata is doing the theme song for Shingo Matsubara’s film adaptation of the manga “Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime.” The song is titled “Niji ga Kieta Hi.”

Hata’s “Bokura wo Tsunagu Mono” was used as the theme for the movie “Clearness,” but this new song will be the first one Hata wrote specifically for a film.

The movie, starring Takao Osawa and Rena Tanaka, opens on June 7. Hata’s single will go on sale during the same month.
