Nadagi, Tomochika split after six years

Comedians Takeshi Nadagi (39) of The Plan 9 and Tomochika (36) have reportedly broken off their relationship. The pair had been going out for about six years before ending it at the start of this year.

According to multiple sources close to the comedians, Nadagi and Tomochika have grown apart due to their busy careers. Nadagi won the R-1 Grand Prix for solo comedy in 2007 and 2008, while Tomochika has added acting and TV show hosting to her schedule in recent years.

About three years ago, Tomochika moved from Osaka to Tokyo for work. Nadagi later moved there as well, but because of the priority placed on work, the two still lived separately. Over time, they spent less time seeing each other privately, though they often work together professionally as “Dylan & Catherine,” a parody of an American couple. Even though they have broken, it seems that they plan to continue their Dylan & Catherine routine.

Nadagi and Tomochika, who are both affiliated with the agency Yoshimoto Kogyo, started dating about six years ago. Their relationship was publicly discovered in December 2006, and the two seemed to be headed for marriage. Rumors of a breakup have been reported in the past, but those reports were all denied. This time, however, appears to be an actual breakup.
