Film distribution studio Toho announced that author Takuji Ichikawa’s popular novel “Sono Toki wa Kare ni Yoroshiku” will be adapted as a film. Ichikawa’s novel is a pure love story among childhood friends, and focuses on a former model faced with a terminal illness.
Popular teen actress Masami Nagasawa will play the lead role, and she will joined by co-stars Takayuki Yamada and Takashi Tsukamoto. The film will be directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa. It is scheduled for release during next summer.
