NHK Osaka is producing a drama special titled “Maigo,” scheduled to be broadcast on February 19, 2011. The drama is being done by the same screenwriter (actor/playwright Shiro Maeda) and director as the 2009 drama special “Okaimono,” which won an award from the Hoso Bunka Foundation.
The story revolves around an elderly female foreigner who gets lost in a big city. As the various people she encounters try to help her, they each come to open their hearts to one another. The cast features Nao Minamisawa (20), Shugo Oshinari (29), Eriko Nakamura (22), Yuta Kanai (25), and Taiga (17).
